Aakriti's POV

I was waiting in the meeting room for Dhruv. Today, we are supposed to sign the deal.

"I missed you so much Aaru." I said and hugged him. I am seeing him after so long. After seeing him, I am missing the other three idiots, especially Rajveer. I have not met him for like two years.

"Even I missed you." He said, and we separated.

"What are you doing here?" Aarav asked me. Before I could answer Dhruv interrupted our conversation.

"You both seem to be close to each other." Dhruv said in a rude tone. What is wrong with him? Why is he frowning and glaring at Aarav? Do they know each other?

"She is my childhood friend. Sachi you know Rajveer, Ansh, and Vihaan. She is the fifth member of our group. The life of our group." He said to the girl who came along with them. She gave me a faint smile. She looks depressed. Is she ok?

"Myself Aakriti. Nice meeting you." I said, and she looked at me with wide eyes. She looks cute and funny.

"Sachi. Nice meeting you." She said and smiled at me. Now she is smiling. Why am I even trying to understand anything? People are anyway too complicated.

"Why weren't you present at Rajveer's wedding?" Aarav asked me.

"Busy with the business. You don't worry, I will be present at your wedding for sure." I said. I wouldn't have missed Rajveer's wedding, but who told him to get married so suddenly? I know my friends are mad, but who gets married to a person about whom you don't know anything? I looked at Aarav, and he looked guilty. He was stealing glances with Sachi. She also looks somewhat distressed. But she was looking at Dhruv. What is going on here?

"What!" Kabir yelled. Sachi and Kabir started whispering something.

"What are you both whispering?" Dhruv asked them. They shook their head.

"Let's sign the deal." He said.

I got to know that Aarav was selected to handle the construction. Dhruv informed me that part of the project was divided equally between Dhruv, Karan, Kabir, and Sachi. Who is Sachi to him? I thought she was Dhruv's sister, but then I checked her name, and her surname was different from Dhruv's. Even if I am curious, I can't ask him. 

Everybody started reading the paper quite carefully one by one and then signed the paper. He informed me that he would get Karan's signature in a few days. Sachi got up and informed Dhruv that she wanted to leave.

"Princess you go home with Kabir. I will finish some work and come join you both." Dhruv said sweetly. Princess, like are you serious? Now I know why she is here. But why am I stuck with him and forced to go on dates when he already has a girlfriend? I was glaring at Dhruv. I don't know why but right now I am pissed. You already have someone in your life then why waste other people's time.

"I need to go to the market to get some stuff. You carry on with your work. I will come home after completing my work." She said to him.

"You can't go alone. Go with Kabir." He said. Why are you bothering her so much? Sachi, you know what just punch him and go.

"You know he will not let me shop and will just trouble me." She said pouting. 

"I am not going with her. She makes me mad. Going from one shop to the other." Kabir said and left.

"Then go with Aarav. He was planning to go on a sightseeing. You just accompany him and then you can go for your shopping with him. I don't think he will have a problem with your company." Dhruv said. I looked at Aarav and he had a wide smile. Did he fall in love with her? No. No. No that can't be true. But Aarav never smiles like this. Is he mad? He is getting married next month. Aarav for God's sake don't complicate stuff.  Why do I have friends who are this crazy Rajveer got married to his brother's bride, and another is falling in love with someone else when he is supposed to get married next month. Aunty will kill you Aarav, for hurting Riddhima and trust me no one will be able to save you. Aunty is scary when she is angry.

"But" Sachi tried to say but Dhruv cut her words.

"No buts. Either you go with him or you are not going anywhere." He said with full authority. Looks like this raja sa (king) has a lot of temper. Dadu told me that some old people still address him calling raja sa which sounds funny.

"Ok fine." She said in frustration, stomping her feet, and left the office. Aarav followed behind her.

Dhruv looked at me and I glared at him.

"Why are you glaring at me? It feels like you are planning my murder." Dhruv said.

"Why did you come on a blind date when you already have a girlfriend?" I said in a bit loud tone.

"I have a girlfriend." he looked shocked.

"Sachi is your girlfriend, right? You called her princess. You talked so sweetly with her. If you already had a person whom you love, you could simply get married to her. " I said, and he gave me a sly smile. This man is annoying. Aaku don't hit him. Don't forget he has power that can influence your life.

"You know I was forced to meet you. I didn't want to marry you, and neither did you. Why are you pissed off that I didn't tell you about Sachi? You clearly don't plan to marry me. So why should I share my personal life with you? Did you fall in love with me? Now I understand why you are so bothered when I call her princess." He raised his eyebrow and smirked at me.

"What the hell? Why would you think such a thing? I am not in love with you get that straight in your head." I said and walked towards the door. 

As I was going to unlock the doorknob, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me. I would have dashed into his chest if I hadn't used my strength. Our faces were pretty close enough. I could see all the little details on his face. He looked at me with a fond smile. I was not able to react. He tucked my hair strand behind my ear. He leaned towards me, and our faces were now just a few inches apart. I could feel his breath on my ear.

"Are you sure?" He spoke in my ear with a deep, sensual voice. I froze as if I was hypnotize. I wanted to say something, but my thoughts went blank. He made some distance between us and smirked at me.  I struggled to free my wrist from his grip. But he wouldn't let me go. I stomped on his foot and hurriedly left his cabin.

I emerged from his office and sat in my car. I took a long breath to relax myself.
"What the heck happened right now? "I've never been so embarrassed before in my entire life." I grumbled.
"However, what he said was correct. Why are you so concerned about him, Aaku? You don't intend to marry him, so it makes no difference if he has a girlfriend or not. Forget it." I said to myself. But thinking about how nicely he addressed Sachi makes me feel irritated. Why I don't know?
